Guru Purnima

Guru Purnima is one of the holiest eves that we celebrate in the month of July approx. We celebrate this pooja to tribute the Supreme Guru. It’s the only festival that all religions celebrate. However, all those religions have the different Supreme Guru, and also the date of Pooja may vary, but the devotion they show to Guru, is always the same. Therefore, you hear the proverb “Guru Govind Duo khade, Kakoo laago paaye.

In Hinduism, this eve is dedicated to Maharshi Ved Vyasa. He is the Supreme Guru, therefore most respectful. He creates the four Vedas that are main source of all the knowledge that we learn today. In addition to this, as per belief, Vedas has endless knowledge, that no one can complete it ever. Every Slokas of these Vedas are useful in life, and all those have a different meaning in different aspects.

On the eve of this holy festival, it’s auspicious to visit the birthplace of Guru Ved Vyasa, “Kalpi”. Also, it’s very auspicious to visit the Vyasa mandir of Ramnagar, Varanasi. As per belief, if a student having weak memory worship there, the great guru blesses him with immense learning capacity. Therefore, you should not let any chance go, to visit such holy places.
