By Air – Sikkim’s nearest accessible airport is in Bagdogra which is about 124 km from Gangtok, Sikkim’s capital city. For the onward journey, Bagdogra airport has both public and private transport options. The local taxi stand is located 50 meters from the terminal building and has shared and private jeeps for Darjeeling, Siliguri, Gangtok etc. Further down, about 700-800 km from the taxi stand, the availability of public buses and shared cars for the same is fine.
