Ladakh is known for the land of high passes, one of India’s most enchanting and unique regions. A dream destination for adventure lovers worldwide, this sparsely populated, expansive landscape. The best way to experience Ladakh is by taking a bike tour of Manali Leh Manali, passing magnificent mountains, clear blue rivers and lakes, hot springs, and more.
Your 11-day bike trip starts at Manali in Himachal Pradesh, one of India’s most popular hill stations, surrounded by high peaks, rivers, and valleys. Go for a walk in the lap of nature or visit popular attractions such as Temple of Hadimba or Temple of Manu. The real adventure of the Manali Leh motorcycle tour will start on the third day you leave for Jipsa via Rohtang Pass. Check out Vashisht Hot Springs, Keylong, and Solang Valley on the way. The itinerary is popular with bikers because of the variety of terrain it provides. From Jipsa, head over the Zanskar Range towards Sarchu via Baralacha La Pass. The small villages along the route and the rough patches are perfect for off-road. The lakes are incredibly beautiful in the area of Lahaul and Spiti (Suraj Tal and Deepak Tal).
On the fifth day, you’ll reach Leh through a challenging road covering Nakeela Pass, Whisky Nallah, Lachulung La Pass, Pang, More Plains and Tanglang La Pass. Because of its harsh terrain, numerous hairpin bends and patches of ice, Nakeela Pass is considered as one of the most dangerous mountain passes. Visit Nubra Valley, from Leh. The dry desert of high altitude receives extremely low precipitation. Nevertheless, the region has some very unusual flora and fauna that includes the Bactrian camels with double humps. From there head towards the popular lake of Pangong Tso. The lake has become a popular shooting location for Bollywood films thanks to its crystal clear waters surrounded by mountains. You will then proceed to visit other attractions such as Druk White Lotus School and you can also visit Magnetic Hill, War Memorial and Gurudwara Pathar Sahib if time permits. Magnetic Hill is an interesting phenomenon that produces an optical illusion that gives you the feeling that you are going up, defying gravity when the path actually goes downhill.
After reaching Leh, it’s time to go back to Manali. The adventure isn’t over yet, though! All you have to do is trace back to Sarchu and then to Manali on the same road. Once again, you’ll ride your bike in the middle of mountains and high passes, crossing untouched rivers and rough paths. This motorcycle tour to Leh Ladakh is really memorable. This is one of the most Bike tour in India.
Board a Volvo bus from Delhi or Chandigarh to Manali on the first day of your journey. It’ll be an overnight trip so make sure you’re well prepared.
Check in at the guest house once you reach Manali. Rest for a while and get ready for a tour briefing and orientation process. Afterwards, enjoy a calming nature walk around the Beas River to Hadimba Temple and Manu Temple. Hadimba Temple is truly one-of – a-kind, as it is dedicated to Hadimba Devi, wife of the Hindu epic Mahabharata’s mighty Bhima. Manu Temple is dedicated to sage Manu, the creator of the world, located near the river Beas. You’ll get a chance to ride your designated bike for a trial run when you return.
This day finally begins your long-awaited journey to Ladakh. Get ready and Pack your bags for an exciting ride. You’ll fly over Vashisht Hot Springs on the way. While Manali is known for its freezing temperatures, the temperatures of these hot springs, located 6 km from the town, range from 43-50 ° C. Then you’ll visit Solang Valley, known for winter sports, followed by Rohtang Pass and Keylong. Once you reach Jipsa, you will be given an overnight stay.
