When Should You Visit The Valley Of Flowers?

As the flower bed blooms in the monsoon, one must visit this national park around that time. Fun fact: Frank Smith, an adventurer, discovered it in 1931. It was the first time anyone had heard of the location. Many visitors visited the park in the past ten years for various reasons. Photographers, travellers, and visitors waited in line to visit this national park as soon as the word of its existence hit the new age media like wildfire. Everyone was eager to see this fantastic find for themselves.

The establishment of a few mid-range hotels in Govindghat, the opening of a few stores that sell trekking gear and prescription medications (for motion sickness), and of course, the airport in Dehradun are a few of the changes that have increased the popularity of this area in the last ten years. The Valley of Flowers was closed for a few days after the Kedarnath tragedy because the government wished to safeguard its vulnerability. But the meadows weren’t harmed by anyone.

The Valley of Flowers’s backstory

Botanist Joane Margret Legge was assigned to a mission on how to reach the Valley of Flowers from Delhi. She slipped her leg while exploring the many flower species while walking down a rough route, causing her to fall off a cliff. It resulted in her death. Her sister built a monument at her death scene in the Valley. Most travellers who pass through the Valley take note of the imposing mountains that appear to be floating in front of it and the sheer cliff they must traverse. The hikers also pass through several shimmering water streams. They stop and take a moment to enjoy the lovely sounds of water rustling through rocks. The monsoon is the ideal time to visit the Valley.

The flower beds here start to bloom at this time, and the lush greenery is quite gorgeous. It has a remarkable effect on one’s mental condition as well. When they encounter something so beautiful, those feeling miserable throughout the walk suddenly become joyful. The stress individuals feel in their hectic city life is what they notice is lacking from their lives when they move here. People experience a sense of liberation and Nirvana. The good times don’t end here, either. Looking closely enough, you can see some unusual creatures and flora.

Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun is closer. However, it only offers a few airline options and connections.
