Ranthmbore National Park

Ranthambore National Park is located in Rajasthan, about 13.5 kilometers from Sawai Madhopur town. Located at the junction of the ranges of the Aravali and Vindhya hills, this is one of the finest places to see wildlife, particularly as they are used to stare at here. The park occupies an area of about 400 sq km, and when combined with the area of Sawai Man Singh Sanctuary, it is about 500 sq km.

Ranthambore National Park is dotted with buildings reminiscent of past eras. There are several bodies of water spread around the park, offering ideal relief for wild animals in summer during the scorching hot days. A huge fort, named after the park, towers atop a hill above the park. There are many ruins of bygone eras scattered throughout the jungle, giving it a unique, wonderful, mixed nature, history, and wildlife flavour. Tigers were known to even hunt in full view of human visitors at Ranthambore National Park.
