Yuksom

Yuksom is a beautiful location in the western Sikkim region and the village is well famous for its beautiful scenery. Located near Kanchenjunga National Park, Yuksom village lies in the heart of lush green vegetation surrounded by mountains. The village offers access to the Mount Kanchenjunga base camp. Yuksom is therefore also an attractive tourist hotspot, and the base camp for some of Sikkim’s most adventurous treks. There are several interesting tourist attractions to see here and the place’s local cuisine is a must-try. Yuksom has a number of places of religious and historical interest, such as the Dubdi and Sangachoeling monasteries, the first to be built in the Sikkim. Another great tourist attraction of the place is the splendid Khecheopalri Lake which the Sikkimese considered holy.
