Christ Church

Christ Church is one of the most popular tourist attractions, and is included in Shimla’s top ten list of places to visit. The Christ Church is an excellent architectural monument constructed in the British period, so that all-powerful Jesus could be served by then followers of Christianity. And with all the hullaballoo outside at the Hill, the church sanctum is quiet. The tower of the Church is 90 ft high and has a famous circular clock on it, a metal cross, a brass bell and a set of six little bells. In the year 1900 the tower was erected. The best time to visit this place is early in the morning or during prayer in the church. This is one of the best places to visit in Shimla, without any doubt!

During the night, the church looks positively amazing when lights at strategic corners illuminate this magnificent Building. Right next to the church is a library designed by James Ransome in the year 1910. It is built in traditional Elizabethan style and consists of a wide selection of ancient books and scriptures.
