विश्व प्रसिद्ध फूलों की घाटी (Valley Of Flower) उत्तराखंड के चमोली जिले में समुद्र तल से 3950 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है। चमोली जिले में स्थित विश्व धरोहर फूलों की ईस घाटी में 500 से अधिक प्रजाति के फूल खिलते हैं। यह घाटी 87.50 वर्ग किलोमीटर में फैली है। ये घाटी बेहद ही खूबसूरत है और यहां फूलों का मनमोहक संसार लोगों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करता है। आप फूलों के साथ नदी, झरने, दुर्लभ प्रजाति वन्यजीव, परिंद और औषधीय वनस्पतियों का दीदार भी कर सकते हैं। घाटी की खोज वर्ष 1932 में ब्रिटिश पर्वतारोही व वनस्पति शास्त्री फ्रैंकस्मित ने की थी। वर्ष 1937 में फ्रैंकस्मित ने वैली आफ फ्लावर नामक पुस्तक लिखकर अपने अनुभवों को दुनिया के सामने रखा। वर्ष 2005 में valley of flower को विश्व धरोहर का दर्जा प्राप्त हुआ। घाटी जुलाई से सितंबर माह तक फूलों पर्यटक से गुलजार रहती है। यह घाटी हर दो सप्ताह में अपना रंग भी बदलती है। कभी लाल तो कभी पीले फूलों के खिलने से घाटी में प्रकृति रंग बदल कर पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करती है। पर्यटक हेमकुंड की यात्रा भी करते हैं। पर्यटक बैस कैंप से पांच किमी पैदल जाकर हेमकुंड व लक्ष्मण लोकपाल मंदिर में भी जा सकते हैं। यह उच्च हिमालय में बेहद खड़ी चढ़ाई का ट्रैकिंग रूट भी है।
